The Pinnacle Group International and Singapore Food Manufacturers' Association (SFMA) in collaboration with the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) are proud to present Asia's most respected business food technology and safety event, The Asia Pacific Food Tech Innovation and Safety Conference 2012. The Conference returns for the 4th year and will be held in conjunction with the Asia Pacific Food Expo 2012. More than 120 Professionals, Managers and Executives are expected to benefit from this event.
This year's conference will be held this coming 16th of November 2012 and will be colocated once again with the Asia Pacific Food Expo at the Singapore Expo. The Asia Pacific Food Expo which will be held on the 15th - 19th November 2012, is the ninth installment of APFE and is once again one of Asia's largest scale food event. Capitalising on the growing trends of the Food Market in Singapore, Asia Pacific Food Expo aims to bring the best food from the Asia Region into Singapore and aim to place Singapore as the food hub in Asia. Visitors this year can now take part at the conference and network with key decision makers from the region while conference delegates can visit the exhibition which is located on the same venue.
The theme of this year's conference, "Breaking New Frontiers-Through Automation, Innovation and Invention" focuses on product innovations in food development, manufacturing and food safety for the future. Innovations that will change the game plan of existing models to cater for the ever changing realities of a fragmented customer market, an aging population, cost pressures and manpower issues will be discussed. Underscoring the importance of manpower training to enhance productivity in response to global challenges, we pleased to have WDA as a supporting agency for this event.
"It is great to be part of this event to support the food manufacturing industry to derive innovative solutions and gain higher productivity. I would like to urge all the Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to leverage on WDA's initiative to help them grow through the Enhanced Training Support scheme for SMEs. Qualified local employees will be able to enjoy attractive course fee funding and higher absentee payroll for courses recognised by WDA," said Mr Ang Chai Soon, Director of the Manufacturing and Construction Division at WDA.
