UK grocery store giant Tesco has announced a redesign of the packaging and quality of the fish offerings in its stores.
Among other improvements, the company has promised an improved crumb coating on breaded fish and fish cakes, along with redesigned packaging and signage. The company is also introducing a more standardized portioning system, in reaction to customers wanting specific sizes to match recipes.
The improvements are part of a multimillion-pound revamp across the company’s meat, fish and poultry offerings, according to a release from the company.
The company, according to the release, has invested approximately GBP 1 billion (USD billion, EUR billion) “to improve the shopping experience for customers.”
The improvements will be visible over the next few weeks in all Extras, Superstores and Metros.
