US-based United Natural Foods has announced that the members of the union, Teamsters Local 117, have voted to end the strike and return to work.
In addition, the union has agreed to discuss the issues with a federal mediator next week. The company noted that looks forward to continuing negotiations, and for a resolution that is fair and equitable for all parties.
Earlier this month, a total of 163 workers went on a strike citing unfair labor practices. The company hired permanent replacement workers after the members walked out.
Commenting on the replacement of the workers, the company assured that it will welcome back as many members of the Union as it can accommodate to reach full staffing levels.
