Blair Vineyards, a California-based micro-estate in the Arroyo Seco appellation, has released its first wine - 2010 Pinot Noir - that is made from grapes sourced from its Delfina’s Vineyard.

Delfina's Vineyard is planted with around five acres of Pinot Noir, around two acres of Chardonnay and one block of Muscat and is managed by the Blair family.

Blair Vineyard winegrower Jeffrey Blair said the family had a vision to produce small lot, artisan Pinot Noir from their own vineyard.

"We are honoring our grandmother Delfina's memory. The vineyard sits on the very first property purchased by our family's grandparents in the 1920s. She inspired generations of our family; her passion for the land is the core value for our wines," he added.

The winery has initially produced around 200 cases of the wine, which will be available for sale at select restaurants, fine wine retailers, online at www.blairwines.com and at new tasting room on San Carlos Street in Carmel-By-The-Sea in the Paseo San Carlos Courtyard.

Blair Estate Pinot Noir is priced at $35.
