North Carolina-based Weathervane Winery has added two new dry red wines - Snowdrift and Temperature Rising - to its collection of white, red and sweet wines.
Snowdrift is a Tempranillo with history rooted to Spanish and Portuguese regions. It offers tasting notes of strawberries, black currants, cherries, prunes, chocolate and tobacco, and different aromas with moderate tannins. The wine is matured in light American oak barrels and has low acid concentration.
Temperature Rising is a Super Tuscan style red wine that features a blend of Italian virilities with velvety character. The wine has the ability to raise the body temperature 'like liquid Viagra,' claims the company.
Snowdrift and Temperature Rising are priced at $20 and $15, respectively.
The winery is also hosting a chili cook off for the pro football championship on 27 January 2013, where it will hold wine tasting session and offer special recipes cooked by local chili chefs.
