Two best friends have won a free trip to the Super Bowl by striking a pose.Both young women entered a contest by Pepsi to appear in the halftime show with Beyonce. Both entered separately. Both won.
"I mean, it's a national competition. You just never think you're going to win," says Candyce Jefferson.
"From start to finish, this is unbelievable," says Schia Lewis. "Who actually wins a trip to go and be a part of the Super Bowl?"
Lewis entered a photo of her puckered lips with homemade Pepsi earrings. That submission earned the photo a spot in a montage introducing Beyonce at the halftime show.
"And I think I get a free 12-pack of Pepsi," adds Lewis.
It was Jefferson's submission that won the grand prize: an all expense paid trip to New Orleans to storm the field and appear in the halftime show with Beyonce. The grand prize came with a 'plus one' and -- you guessed it -- she is taking Lewis.
"Which is why we are great friends," laughs Lewis.
The ultimate dream is to meet Beyonce during the trip but both say they are happy just to be going.
