Uptown Market has started a 60-day campaign to raise funds of $24,500 for building a brewery in Beaverton, Oregon, US.

The funds would contribute to half of the total cost of the project, which is scheduled to be completed by July 2013.

Uptown Market's Stuart Faris said, "We are excited to not only evolve our offerings and open Beaverton's first brewery, but also for the opportunity to give back to the local community that has been so supportive of Uptown Market over the years."

As a part of building the brewery, the company has purchased a brewhouse from Two Kilts Brewing that has a capacity to produce about seven barrels.

The company also plans to buy solenoids, controls for the glycol cooling system, mill for the grain, keg washing and filling stations and a carbonation station to complete the brewery.
