Stocks of wheat reduced to 6.5 million metric tons early this month compared to the wheat stock during 1 March 2012, which was 8.1 million tons.

As per the data presented by the government, corn stock has reduced to 9.5 million tons early this month when compared to the previous year.

The total grain stocks were 22 million tons as of early March, against 21 million tons in the previous year.

In addition, the ministry estimated domestic demand at about 9.7 million tons from March through June.
