The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced this week a schedule of data releases and food safety events.

The FoodNet Surveillance 2012 report, covering incidence and trends of infection, will be released April 18, in the Morbidity Mortality Weekly Report. On June 4, a tri-agency press release and press conference will be held on the latest Vital Signs report, with a focus on food safety risks for vulnerable populations.

A webinar on food safety and at-risk populations led by Bob Tuverson, USDA/FSIS will also be held on June 4, in conjunction with the press release. Webinar registration will be available on the FSIS website.
