Canadian food firm Chocolat Jean-Talon Chocolate is voluntarily recalling Hollow Milk Flavoured Confection products as the products may contain egg that is not mentioned on the label, according to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).
The products associated with the recall include all codes of 300g Dog shaped and Rabbit shaped Chocolat Jean-Talon Hollow Milk Flavoured Confection bearing UPC codes 0 57835 03331 4 and 0 57835 03360 4.
The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall, which is classified as Class 1 health hazard.
No illnesses have been reported associated with the recall.
Consumption of the recalled products may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons allergic or sensitive to egg.
