Starbucks Coffee Company announced that it has appointed Deverl Maserang as executive vice president leading the company’s Global Supply Chain Organization.
In this role, he will be accountable for end-to-end supply chain operations globally spanning manufacturing, engineering, procurement, distribution, planning, transportation, inventory management and worldwide sourcing.
Maserang joins Starbucks from Chiquita Brands International, bringing more than two decades of leadership in global supply chain operations. In his role leading the Global Value Chain for Chiquita and Fresh Express, he was responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain function of approximately 20,000 employees. Prior to that, he held a variety of supply chain roles at Pepsi Bottling Group, United Parcel Service, along with leading various startups in the areas of industrial engineering, operations and supply chain management.
Maserang will report to Troy Alstead, Starbucks chief financial officer and chief administrative officer, and be a part of the company’s Senior Leadership Team. His Starbucks journey begins June 3.
