Hundreds of beverage professionals gathered Tuesday in New York City for the opening of the 20th annual Beverage Forum Conference. Highlights included the awarding of the Large Company of the Year Award to Anheuser-Busch InBev and the Small Company of the Year Award to TalkingRain Beverage Company.
Much of the conference touched upon the rising power of the Millennial Generation, including the opening session, "Meeting The Marketing Challenge of the Millenials."
On hand to deliver keynote addresses Tuesday were John McDonnell, president, international & chief operating officer, Patron Spirits International; Albert Carey, CEO, PepsiCo Americas Beverages and Luiz Fernando Edmond, president, North America, Anheuser-Busch InBev.
A panel on artisanal beer and spirits and the popular annual Wall Street Roundtable comprised the rest the day's educational program, along with various networking events. The conference continues on Wednesday for its second and final day.
The 2013 Beverage Forum is being held at the Conrad New York Hotel in Manhattan.
