Tate & Lyle opened its new Technical Service Center in Mexico City. The facility is part of Tate & Lyle’s extensive global network of innovation, application and technical service centers that provide application development, rapid prototyping and complete formulation, process and evaluation expertise to help food and beverage customers’ transition more quickly from product conception to market.
Consumers’ desire for great-tasting, innovative food and beverages is important for the continued growth of our customers," said Oreste Fieschi, general manager, Latin America, Tate & Lyle. “Our new facility enhances new opportunities for our applications and technical service experts to provide food and beverage expertise, while collaborating with customers to develop differentiated and reliable solutions to their challenges."
The new site is conveniently located close to the World Trade Centre, Mexico DF, and offers expertise in the innovative, versatile application of Tate & Lyle’s ingredients that support new product development and line extensions in beverage, bakery and confectionery, convenience, dairy and snack categories.
The new technical service centre applies the latest technology available for sweeteners, wellness ingredients and texturants, including a multi-functional and scale-up high performance colloid mill, a pilot scale convection oven plus a high precision texture analyzer, to test the application and behavior of Tate & Lyle’s wide range of products.
On May 20, Tate & Lyle announced it acquired Biovelop, a Kimstad, Sweden-based manufacturer of oat beta glucan for the food, beverage, supplement and cosmetics markets.
