The new stepping motor series with a high-resolution encoder from Nanotec Electronic U.S., Medford, Mass., is an out-of-the-box combination of a stepper motor with an optical encoder.
The new standard combination is more cost-effective than ordering the products separately and is available from stock. The motors come in sizes 41 (Nema 17) and 60 mm (Nema 24) and have a holding torque of 0.5 and 3.54 Nm, respectively, and a step resolution of 1.8°. The encoder has a high resolution of 4000 CPR with quadrature, and can reach 16,000 pulses per revolution. A 5-V and 24-V encoder is available, each with a line driver. The motor and encoder have integrated connectors for simple and fast installation. This combination is ideal for closed loop applications with position feedback.
