US-based Biosilo Foods has introduced a new superfood snack, Veggie Poppers, at the 2013 Sweets and Snacks Expo event held at the McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago, Illinois.

The vegetable snack features superfood grains and vegetables in a unique, bite-sized snack popper. It is designed for on-the-go consumers and is ideally paired with healthy juices and smoothies.

Veggie Poppers are available in two flavors - Lemon & Kale and Spinach & Cranberry with additional flavors set to be launched.

The product is non-GMO, all natural, gluten free, dairy free and contains no trans fats, zero cholesterol, high source of protein & fiber, no artificial ingredients or flavors.

Biosilo founder Keith Mullin said that the initial response for the product has been very exciting.

"We pre-launched last week to a select group of our retailer partners, and immediately started getting requests from all over the country - club stores, convenience stores, big box retailers, even the military."

"Our patent-pending technology infuses a bountiful mix of vegetables in every popper. Veggie Poppers are incredibly wholesome and delicious, giving you nutritious natural superfoods as found at your local farmers market in just one popper," Mullin added.
