US-based Appleton Estate is set to introduce its limited edition Appleton Estate 50 Year Old Jamaica Rum - Jamaica Independence Reserve in Nova Scotia, Canada in June 2013.
Jamaica Independence Reserve rum is aged for 50 years in hand-selected, oak barrels and is crafted over time and managed by Appleton Estate master blender Joy Spence.
The company has produced only 800 bottles, which will be available in Canada at a retail price of $5,000.
Appleton Estate is also showcasing a bottle of this new rum at select Nova Scotia Liquor locations including Portland Street NSLC, Bayer's Lake NSLC, Joseph Howe NSLC and Tantallon NSLC with limited quantities available for purchase.
The company also produces Appleton Estate Reserve, a blend of 20 different aged rums.
Based in Nassau Valley, California, Appleton Estate has been producing rums since 1749.
