HOFEX is the largest food and beverage trade show in Asia. More than 1,900 exhibiting companies participated in the show and a total of 35,000 professional buyers from Hong Kong and the region and over 90% (circa 32,000) had visited the U.S. Pavilion, which had 41 participating U.S.
companies/organizations. U.S. exhibitor – Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute (ASMI) reported that excellent export opportunities resulted during HOFEX 2013, with on-site sales at $2 million and projected sales in the next 12 months at $10 million.
HOFEX is a bi-annual international food show held in Hong Kong and it is the largest food and beverage trade show in Asia. HOFEX was held during May 7-10, 2013 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. The show attracted more than 19,000 exhibitors who
showcased their products to over 35,000 visitors from Hong Kong and the region. The USA Pavilion had 41 exhibitors visited by an estimated number of 32,000 visitors during the show.
Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute (ASMI) showcased a wide range of quality fish and seafood products from the state of Alaska. ASMI and their members attending HOFEX considered the show very effective in meeting exhibiting goals. They received strong leads from markets in the region
including Hong Kong, China, Singapore and the Philippines covering a wide spectrum of products from Pacific cod and yellow fin sole. They reported on-site sales of $2 million and they are following up with the various trade leads received at HOFEX, expecting projected sales in the next 12 months of another $10 million.
