BCI is pleased to announce that South Africa's food additive use regulations have been added to the International Food Additive Database. The database includes the exact additive and food terminology used in the South African regulations for more than 350 additives, and presents this data to the user in an easily searchable format.
Users may search the database by additive, by technological function, or by market in order to compare food additive maximum use levels across markets and across food types. With the addition of South Africa, the database now includes 24 markets, and additional new markets are in the process of being added this year.
BCI invites comments, questions, and other feedback regarding the database, which can be submitted via the “Feedback” link.
