Pinneys of Scotland, part of Young’s Seafood Ltd., has been invited to showcase its smoked salmon at the Coronation Festival. The celebration at Buckingham Palace to mark the 60th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s coronation takes place from 11- 14 July. Pinneys will join Scotland’s 15 other companies at the celebration.
This is the first time an event marking excellence in supply, trade and craft has been held on this scale, according to Young’s. Pinneys has held a royal warrant to supply smoked salmon to the queen since 1986.
“We are delighted that our smoked salmon will be showcased at the upcoming Coronation Festival in the gardens of Buckingham Palace. We smoke our salmon in Annan, in Scotland, over smouldering oak chips using traditional methods handed down over centuries. Salmon is a great source of protein and Omega-3, and we are committed to delivering great quality smoked salmon products. Our team is proud to have the opportunity to showcase our products at the event, and we are honoured to be purveyors of smoked salmon to HM the queen,” said Pete Ward, royal warrant holder and COO of Young’s.
Pinneys of Scotland is part of Young’s, a leading U.K. supplier of chilled and frozen, branded and own-label seafood.
