Staay-Hispa B.V., Frupaks-Vernooij B.V. and Staay Export B.V. are three new company names recently announced under the umbrella of the Staay Food Group.
With a number of targeted acquisitions in the last few years, the Staay Food Group directors have achieved a key goal – with a greater turnover the group can play a more significant role in the worldwide cultivation and distribution of fruit and vegetables. Thanks to these strategic acquisitions, Staay Food Group now has access to major cultivation projects and the company can therefore supply high-quality and reliable fruit and vegetables from its own sources all year around under the motto: ‘The world is our garden’. With the new structure, Staay Food Group has also introduced a new house style and company logo.
Staay-Hispa B.V., located in Barendrecht, is active worldwide in the cultivation and distribution of the complete Fruit & Vegetable range. The new company is the result of the full acquisition of Hispa Fruit by Van der Staay Barendrecht. Staay-Hispa B.V. is located in the former premises of Hispa Fruit, from where the logistics and commercial activities are conducted. Together with the location in Venlo, Staay-Hispa B.V. focuses on the European retail, food service, food processing industry and distribution (commencing 8 July 2013).
Staay-Export B.V., located in Alblasserdam, is fully focused on distribution in Eastern Europe. The company is the result of the merger of Alexport B.V. and Hispa Eastern Europe B.V. (commencing 1 July 2013).
Frupaks-Vernooij B.V., located in Deil focuses on the sourcing and sale of hard fruit. This company is the result of the merger of the renowned hard fruit companies J.C. Vernooij in Vleuten and Frupaks Fruit B.V. in Deil (commenced 1 May 2013).
The Staay Food Group directors are pleased to announce: “We have reached a point that by merging the various business units we are now able to create a more professional platform. This means that we can manage the various parts of the business very efficiently, giving us good insight into the business activities and costs. Despite the size of the company, Staay Food Group is still an organisation with short, direct lines.” For the time being, the facilities departments (administration, quality and environment, ICT, human resources, management support) and the group directors will continue to operate from the Van der Staay Barendrecht premises.
