India’s Oceanic Foods is promoting its expertise in the field of dehydrated vegetables – notably onions and garlic. Because Oceanic uses only the most modern technology, the company says, its products are rich in food value, consistent in quality, highly economical and available throughout the year regardless of the season.

Other available dehydrated products include potato, carrot, cabbage, chilli, ginger, spinach, tamarind, tomato and mango as well as curry, mint and coriander leaves.

The company says that specially grown raw materials are processed in a modern plant under controlled conditions to provide the full natural flavour of spices/vegetables in a concentrated form. Dehydrated spices/vegetables are handled and packed under controlled conditions of temperature and humidity. Oceanic Foods claims that its special dehydration process not only preserves the nutritive values but also the natural taste and flavour. All products are said to be absolutely free from artificial colouring and flavouring substances.

Oceanic prides itself on the fact that its facilities are audited and approved by several multinational companies for global supplies of its dehydrated products: it exports to customers in a large number of countries including the UK, Canada, Russia, South East Asia, Africa, Japan, Australia, Germany, New Zealand, Chile, France.

The company attributes its success to what it describes as uncompromising quality control practices and constant supervision by highly qualified food technologists. Oceanic also has its own agricultural sustainable farming program, thus ensuring complete traceability, according to the company, and giving it farm to fork control over its products.

One of the very few companies in India to have received an award for outstanding export performance from the president of India, Oceanic Foods is certified FSSAI, ISO 22000, Halal and Kosher; USFDA registered; and SEDEX compliant.
