Pollo Tropical, a US-based restaurant chain and subsidiary of Fiesta Restaurant Group, has opened its 100th company-owned outlet in Atlanta, Georgia.
The chain is also planning to expand in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and Texas.
Fiesta Restaurant Group chief executive officer Tim Taft said, "As we open our 100th company-owned location, the further expansion of the Pollo Tropical brand is just as much about making its unique concept more accessible in new markets as it is about making it more convenient in existing markets."
Pollo Tropical unveiled its first restaurant in Miami, appealing to the varied cultures of the South Florida community.
The chain currently owns and operates 100 outlets in the US plus four licensed restaurants located on college campuses in Florida plus four licensed restaurants located on college campuses in Florida.
Pollo Tropical has 35 international franchised outlets in Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Honduras, India, Panama, Trinidad & Tobago, and Venezuela and also has development agreements in place for additional franchised outlets in those areas.
