RY-MD Food Chain, a Mister Donut franchise, plans to launch 40 more outlets in eastern Mindanao region of the Philippines, in more than a year.
The company is also looking to relaunch Eastern Samar operations, which were shut due to the impact on business of bad roads and damaged bridges in 2011.
RY-MD Food Chain CEO Richard Young told bworldonline.com, "Looking at the present corporate directions, 40 shops in more than a year is possible... we want people to feel the presence of a national brand in rural areas."
Young added, the company will launch take-out outlets in Biliran province, and Isabel and Palompon in Leyte.
The franchise will open restaurants in Hilongos and the cities of Baybay and Ormoc in Leyte, and in Maasin City, Southern Leyte. This restaurants will offer other meals apart from donuts.
