Diversified Business Communications (DBC), the parent company of SeafoodSource, has announced it will be rebranding its Asian Seafood Exposition as Seafood Expo Asia.

The name change will take effect in 2014, according to DBC, and is part of a rebranding and marketing initiative that DBC is applying to all of its seafood expositions.

“The new branding initiative is more than just giving new names to our high-quality seafood events,” said Mary Larkin, Group Vice President, Diversified Business Communications and Publisher for SeaFood Business magazine. “It unifies all Diversified Events serving the global seafood industry under one recognizable, strong brand authority. All marketing initiatives will reflect this change, including the new website, www.seafoodexpo.com.”

The Asian expo will first appear under the new Seafood Expo Asia name on 2 to 4 September 2014 in Wanchai at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The other rebranded events include the International Boston Seafood Show & Seafood Processing America, now known as Seafood Expo North America & Seafood Processing North America, and the European Seafood Exposition & Seafood Processing Europe held in Brussels, Belgium, now known as Seafood Expo Global & Seafood Processing Global. DBC also plans to rebrand its second European expo, Seafood Barcelona, under the name Seafood Expo Southern Europe.
