Corbion Purac has announced an expansion to its Verdad series of label-friendly products. Verdad Powder F80, which can be labelled as “fermented sugar”, is part of Corbion’s further growth into fermentation-based ingredient solutions.
Ivo Van der Linden, category manager preservation, said: “With the demand for pure and authentic food growing, the food industry is faced with the challenge to find natural ingredients that can deliver on food quality and integrity without compromising on taste or shelf life.”
“With Verdad Powder F80 we were able to further expand our Verdad F product line and can now offer food processors a greater choice of label-friendly ingredients and more flexibility in application.”
Verdad Powder F80 is the first powder version of the Verdad F range, and was developed as a response to industry demand. Corbion has focused on a minimal processing approach, while allowing it to be used in fresh and ready-to-eat products.
