Samuel Adams Cold Snap, the brand's spring 2014 release, is a Belgian-style white ale combining wheat with a blend of exotic fruits and spring spices. It's designed as a bridge brew between the fuller, warming beers of winter and the light and freshing ones popular in the summer.
Cold Snap is a medium-bodied, 5.3 percent alcohol-by-volume (ABV) ale with spicy notes. The company recommends pairing the brew with lighter dishes like sushi and smoked salmon. Additionally, the wheat and smooth maltiness offer a counterpoint to spicier cuisines like Indian and Thai.
The beer will be available nationwide from January through mid-March for a suggested retail price of $7.99-$9.99 and in 12 packs of bottles and cans for $14.99-$17.99.
