Moët Hennessy India, a unit of France-based LVMH, has launched two India-made sparkling wines - Chandon Brut and Chandon Brut Rosé.
Made from grapes grown in Nashik region in the state of Maharashtra, Chandon wines are the first products from Moët Hennessy Estates & Wines that are produced in and for India.
Initially, the wines will be available at select wine retail shops, hotels, restaurants and bars in the city of Mumbai, and will eventually be launched in New Delhi in November 2013 and all other major cities through 2014.
Moet Hennessy has invested in a green field winery in Dindori near Nashik region for growing high-quality grapes.
