Scottish wines and spirits merchant Inverarity Morton has acquired Forth Wines, in a move which created an enlarged company with combined annual revenues of more than £75m.
The deal comes two year after WM Morton's merger with Inverarity Vaults which led to the creation of Inverarity Morton.
Currently, Inverarity Morton supplies over 2,000 customers in the licensed trade industry. The new acquisition will expand its reach beyond the domestic market, the company said.
During the first three months, the two firms will continue to operate independently.
Forth Wines said that its continued key focus will be on supplying the best range and quality of wine to the independent free trade.
