American brand agency CBX has partnered with Dr Pepper Snapple to revamp the packaging graphics for orange soda brand Sunkist Soda.
CBX has reversed the blue and white brand colors, by staging the logo right on the sum.
The move comes after Dr Pepper Snapple has decided to include original sun graphic to its packaging, which has been missing since 2008.
Dr Pepper Snapple Group core flavored soft drinks brand marketing director Eric Blackwood said that without original sun graphic, the company lost a connection to its California beach story and lacked differentiation within the orange segment.
CBX general manager Satoru Wakeshima said, "The sun graphic provided us with a great platform for expressing the brand. Our opportunity was to visually express the idea of 'liquid sunshine' -- it was all about harnessing the positivity and vitality we associate with the sun and using that energy to gain relevancy with our target."
