American fast food restaurant chain Smashburger has signed deals with four new partners to open 54 restaurants, in a move to bring franchise pipeline to about 400 outlets in the US.
In Atlanta, Georgia, Smashburger has appointed Bamaberto to open 23 new restaurants over the next few years. Besides opening the new units, the franchisee will also acquire five existing Smashburger locations.
The burger chain has partnered with Wellesley Bromfield of Two Spurs to launch 18 restaurants in Orlando and Jacksonville, Florida.
In Oakland, California, Smashburger signed deal with NorCal Restaurant Group to debut the brand with nine new restaurant locations.
The company also signed franchise deal with CapQueen3 to open six new restaurants in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Smashburger CEO Scott Crane said, "Smashburger has seen great success in rekindling Americans' love affair with burgers across the 30 states we operate, so we are excited to partner with a new group of industry experts to bring our one-of-a-kind experience to new guests and help us continue executing on our steady growth path."
Smashburger noted that it remains on track to grow its unit count by approximately 30% in 2013. The company plans to open seven to nine additional restaurants, putting its year-end target above 250 units.
Further, the restaurant chain is also actively seeking franchise partners to develop and grow the brand domestically and internationally in Chicago, Miami, Seattle and Canada.
