2013 marks the 50th anniversary of iconic ice cream brand, Drumstick, and to celebrate, the brand has released three new flavours, Banana Lounge, Toffee Tanlines and Cherry Sunset.
Having first been introduced to the Australian market in 1963, Drumstick has grown to become one of the most popular ice cream on the Aussie market with the equivalent of two Drumsticks enjoyed every second.
Peters Ice Cream head of marketing, Emma Jane Collins says that the new flavours have been designed to complement the Australian summer lifestyle.
“Celebrating Drumstick’s 50th anniversary is an exciting milestone for us, and it’s great to see 50 years on, it’s still a favourite for Aussies young and old,” said Collins.
The new flavours will be complemented by a tongue -n-cheek television commercial that pays homage to Australian summer rituals including beach cricket, belly flops and bad tan lines.
