Mexican food manufacturer Mission Foods plans to expand its factory in the Coventry Business Park by 6,200ft², while creating more than 50 new jobs.

Owned by Mexican food group Gruma, the company manufactures tortillas and wraps for retail outlets.

Mission Foods stated that one of the main problems it faces is the time to recruit and induct employees.

To support its expansion plans, the company hired recruitment specialist Encore Personnel which will carry out job candidate assessments, testing, interviews as well as on-site company inductions for five years.

Mission Foods production manager Parma Rai said, "Making sure that all the new members of staff fit into our company culture and knowing that the staff are being looked after is crucial for us here at Mission.

"Added to this, having Encore take over the Production recruitment process for such a large number of staff has been crucial in saving us time."

Encore Personnel Coventry branch manager Stuart Bentley said, "We have worked closely with Mission Foods now for almost five years, helping supply for a number of different positions, mainly for seasonal increases in product manufacturing."
