Archer Daniels Midland Company has announced the launch of Textura, a new line of soy protein crisps that can be tailored to individual formulation needs. A great source of high quality protein, fiber and whole grains, Textura soy crisps are a cost-effective way to enhance nutrient content, texture and flavor in a wide variety of applications, including nutrition bars, cereals and healthy snacks.
As a further extension of ADM’s wide range of plant-based proteins, fibers and other nutrient-rich ingredients, Textura soy crisps are available in a range of protein contents, and can be tailored to add fiber or characterising flavors to meet the needs of individual product formulations. As a result, snack and other food manufacturers are able to develop unique products with broad consumer appeal.
Tom Burrows, director of strategic marketing at ADM, comments: “Today’s consumers are expecting more choice, higher quality and greater convenience than ever before. While the demand for healthy snacks is rising, many snack manufacturers are still struggling to find the ingredients they need to develop quality products that stand out. With our new range of soy protein crisps, we are able to offer the market a more tailored approach that enables manufacturers to respond to consumer demand for healthy, cereal-based snacks with well-accepted flavor profiles and distinctive nutritional benefits.”
With the new Textura range, ADM expands its existing portfolio of highly versatile soy protein crisps, including its successful Nutrisoy line, an industry leading soy wheat crisp range, offering products that contain up to 85 per cent protein.
