Puratos, a Belgian ingredients manufacturer, has launched new Topfil range of wild berry fruit fillings for bakery, patisserie and chocolate manufacturers.
Claimed to include up to 60% of wild fruit sourced directly from the Baltic forests, the fruit fillings provide a range of advantages to customers and consumers.
The sourced berries are processed into fruit fillings with a fresh fruit content of up to 60%, at Puratos' factory in Latvia.
Puratos stated that consumers purchase products that contain wild berries rather than cultivated berries, and sensory taste panels preferred wild berries as it offers a fuller flavor.
The company said that the Topfil range offers a wild and superior tasting product, and there is a new market trend for patisserie with wild berries.
