Kerry Group on March 11 said it acquired Wynnstarr Flavors on Dec. 2, 2013. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
According to Kerry, Wynnstarr specializes in developing savory flavors and food products for food service customers. The business operates at two locations and employs 121. At Congers, N.Y., northwest of New York City, Wynnstarr has its research and development, marketing, sales and administration staffs. Its manufacturing and quality control are located in Louisville, Ky.
Kerry said the Wynnstarr transaction with the 2011 acquisition of Cargill Flavor Systems, together with earlier acquisitions of Agilex, Manheimer and Flavurence, will strengthen its position as a leading global flavor supplier.
