Krave is yet another food company impacted by the recall of more than 8 million lbs. of beef processed by Petaluma, Calif.-based Rancho Feeding Corp. The US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service is investigating the company for allegedly processing meat from cows with eye cancer without the benefit of federal inspection. A specialty meat purveyor is in negotiations to acquire Rancho Feeding.

The affected product was distributed nationwide through retail establishments and by Internet sales. The Krave Garlic Chili Pepper Beef Jerky is sold in 3.25 oz. packages with UPC 55002 00306 and will bear an establishment mark of EST 18951. The agency said no other Krave products are affected by the recall.

KRAVE is a snack food company that makes and markets a line of gourmet jerky products using premium-quality cuts of all-natural beef, pork and turkey.
