The specialised machine builder from Lahnau will support this claim from 8 to 14 May 2014 at interpack 2014 in Düsseldorf. In Hall 15, Booth A41, the company will display numerous new developments and line combinations together with its associate company LoeschPack. "You can look forward to our product innovations, our new corporate design, and our high-quality all-stainless steel machines and systems, which will be exhibited at the trade show", according to Marco Hinter, Sales Director at Hastamat Verpackungstechnik of Lahnau.
Newly-developed form, fill and seal machines for the high-performance sector
With the innovative new developments RM-170 and RM-270, Hastamat will once again present the continuous vertical form, fill- and seal machine at interpack 2014. “These machines' low installation height guarantees maximum product protection even at high speeds“, Marco Hinter went to the heart of the matter. These modular machines made of stainless steel and with a hygienic design are optionally available with water and dust protection and they can be cleaned very easily. Hinter: „All drive elements are clearly separated from the product side, which provides outstanding accessibility for maintenance and cleaning purposes“. The film reel has a bearing on one side that makes operation and format changes easy. „With these new developments, which features output of up to 250 bags per minute, Hastamat addresses all format ranges and bag shapes”, so Hinter. Special applications for sticks can be integrated easily and flexibly into the RM 170/270.
Integration of various packaging levels
Customers are increasingly demanding complete solutions which integrate various stages of the packing process. Together with its sister company LoeschPack, Hastamat is showing a line combination at interpack which packages Napolitains in individual wrapping followed by four-edge sealed bags.
The Napolitains are packaged in a full wrap made of OPP foil and sealed with adhesive points. The individual articles are transported on an inclined conveyor belt to the CP-16-S32 combination weigher from Hastamat. There, the articles can be dosed precisely according to weight or counted to the exact number and then packaged in the downstream RM-270 vertical form, fill and seal machine. This configuration provides an impressive demonstration of LoeschPack and Hastamat’s line competence under the umbrella of the Piepenbrock group.
CP-Weighers in Hygienic Design
The proven combination weighers the CP-series are now also available with a hygienic design. The CP-HD hygienic model that will be presented at interpack 2014 is the ideal machine for dosing cheese, meat, fresh and frozen products. Its frameless, easily accessible construction is specially designed for optimal cleaning in wet areas. The control cabinet separate from the weigher can be positioned anywhere. Specially-adapted transfer systems allow flexible combination with thermoform or tray sealing machines. “Format changes on these servo-controlled transfer systems can therefore be carried out quickly and without tools”, Marco Hinter explains. By default, the software is completely integrated in the weigher control and tuned to the special requirements of the food industry.
Packing of stackable chips in cans and trays
New at this trade show is the fully automatic system for packaging stackable chips in cans and trays.
Exact weighing of each individual portion allows precise dosing of the chips without "give-away". With our exhibit, we will demonstrate both filling in trays and cans as well as direct can filling. Due to the individual, modular design, multi-lane solutions with up to 24 lanes can be created. All components that have contact with products are easy to reach, easy to remove and can be cleaned easily.
Counting system – ZA
Hastamat's optimized ZA series counting system, which will be presented at interpack 2014, is ideal for the ordering and counting of stick-shaped products of any kind. Whether food or non-food items: this high-performance counting system enables the gentle packaging of high-quality, brittle stick-shaped products such as chocolate sticks. Using synchronised bins, bucket conveyors or feeding chutes, the products are fed onto the actual counting belts. Disorderly product feeding is also no problem: Upstream sorting equipment aligns the product precisely. Laser-controlled counting units ensure quick and precise portioning. Damaged sticks are detected and sorted out safely.
Form, fill and seal machine R-600
The R-600 intermittent vertical form, fill and seal machine will première at interpack 2014. It is possible to process especially large bags (up to 600 mm bag width) with this stainless steel packaging machine. Heavy films up to 450 µm can also be processed without a problem. This robust machine is designed for use in the chemical and heavy industry. However, due to its stainless steel construction, it can also be used for large packaging volumes in the food industry. It is easy to clean and requires little maintenance. „The R-600 will be presented with the CP-10-HD combination weigher as an ideal solution for packaging fresh and frozen foods“, specified Marco Hinter.
