service Europe has announced the appointment of Andy Ible to the position of Print Manager at its factory in Winsford, Cheshire. The appointment follows the news last month that the company is making a multi-million pound investment in its British manufacturing facility, including the commissioning of a new, state-of-the-art printing press.Andy has more than 30 years’ experience of flexo printing. He started as an apprentice at Bowaters Packaging in Ellesmere Port and has experience of printing on plastics and paperboard packaging, including four years in paper cup printing. More recently, he helped the retail industry to close the loop with the Bags for Life initiative.
International Paper Foodservice Europe’s new printing press will raise the bar in terms of what can be achieved when printing on paperboard packaging, significantly enhancing the print quality and providing customers with more choices.
Andy will report to Ian Roberts, International Paper Foodservice Europe’s Operations Manager. Commenting on the appointment, Ian said, “We are delighted to welcome Andy Ible to the team here at Winsford. Andy and I have worked together before and I know that his expertise in flexible and paperboard packaging printing and his knowledge of artwork and origination, together with the technical superiority of the new printing press, will enable International Paper Foodservice Europe to offer a superior quality of print on our paperboard products.”
Andy added, “I am very excited to be joining International Paper Foodservice Europe and am looking forward to the challenge of helping to take this company to a new level in printing paperboard packaging for the foodservice market, which in turn will open up new opportunities for future development of the business. It’s great to be on board at the beginning of this journey.”
