American whiskey manufacturer Jack Daniel Distillery has introduced new Rested Tennessee Rye, which is the distillery’s first barrel-matured expression in the rye category.
The limited edition Rested Tennessee Rye is a follow-up to Jack Daniel's 2012 Unaged Tennessee Rye offering.
Jack Daniel Distillery master distiller Jeff Arnett said that the company is pleased with the reception it received from its Jack Daniel's Unaged Rye.
"Having spent two cycles of the Tennessee seasons resting in the barrelhouse, we think consumers will be surprised by how much the caramelized wood sugars from our new, lightly toasted and charred barrels have imparted to the flavor of the rye," added Arnett.
Jack Daniel's Rested Tennessee Rye is made with the same Cave Spring water from the Jack Daniel's Hollow, by using proprietary yeast and charcoal mellowing process that has been used in the distillery's nearly 150-year-old Tennessee Whiskey recipe, the company claims.
Priced at a suggested retail price of $49.99, Jack Daniel's Rested Rye will be available in a 750ml bottle.
