Austin will be the host city for the 2nd annual American Craft Distillers Convention and Vendor Trade Show, February 14 - 16, 2015.
Following the heels of the successful inaugural convention and trade show held in March by the American Craft Distillers Association (ACDA) in Denver, the selection of Austin will bring the largest gathering of licensed distillers in the U.S. to a city renowned for its artistic independence and excellence.
"Austin is the perfect fit for artisan producers," says Penn Jensen, Executive Director of ACDA. "According to Nielsen Associates, Austin is the number one city in the country for craft by percentage of resident young adults. Craft is spoken here."
The Convention and Trade Show will be held at the Hyatt Regency Austin. A consumer event where the public can sample craft-distilled spirits and enjoy local fare is also planned as an adjunct to the convention and as a benefit for the Texas Distilled Spirits Association (TSDA).
"Hosting the 2015 ACDA Convention and Trade Show is an amazing opportunity for Texas," says TSDA executive director Scott Stewart, "and will be a great place to showcase the uniqueness and originality of our own craft spirits producers."
