Tomatin Distillery, a single malt Scotch whiskey distillery in Scotland, has introduced new expressions to its existing range of single malts.
The 14 Year Old Port Wood Finish has been aged in Bourbon oak barrels for around 13 years, with a further year in specially selected Portuguese port pipes. It is soft and smooth with a port-influenced sweetness, according to the company.
Tomatin Distillery claims that the 1988 vintage's contents have been vatted from ex-bourbon and ex-port casks.
Available in a wooden box with its own certificate, 1988 vintage will be rolled out in batches, with the first batch offering 2500 bottles.
Tomatin Distillery Sales director Stephen Bremner said, "In recent years we have really started to make our mark in the single malt market with recognition for the high quality whiskey on offer from the Tomatin Distillery."
In addition, Tomatin will remove 15 year old and 30 Year Old expressions from the single malt range.
