UK-based SABMiller will introduce a new non-alcoholic beer with a ginger flavor - Birell Ginger - which will be an addition to Lime & Raspberry and Lemon & Pomegranate flavors of the Birell brand.
The Birell Ginger is flavored with ginger extract and has 23kcal per 100 ml. This beer is also free from preservative and artificial colors, the company claims.
To be priced at $1, the non-alcoholic beer is the first of its type on the Czech market with a ginger flavor.
Birell brand marketing manager Ludek Baumruk said that ginger is ever more popular in the Czech Republic.
"People discovered its taste and are adding it to their diet more and more often. That is why we decided to combine Birell with a ginger extract, which is preservative and artificial coloring free. I believe that this beverage will find many fans among the supporters of healthy lifestyles," added Baumruk.
