Harrogate Water Brands, independent owner of Harrogate Spring Water and charity water brand Thirsty Planet, has announced Harrogate Spring Water as ‘The Official Water of England Cricket’ as part of a new campaign to further reinforce its position as the No.1 premium British spring water.
In conjunction with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announcement, Harrogate Water Brands has also revealed a new contemporary look across its entire Harrogate Spring Water range.
Available from the end of May, the new ‘Diamond Bottles’ will proudly carry the England Cricket logo and ‘Official Water of England Cricket’ copy on all new labels and packaging.
The ECB agreement is the biggest sponsorship deal to date by the original British water brand and will see England cricket players provided with Harrogate Spring Water at every home International, limited overs and 20/20 match, starting with the first summer International against Sri Lanka on 20th May.
The ECB partnership also includes sponsorship of the on pitch drinks break; during each International match the ‘Harrogate Spring Hydration Break’, which will be broadcast live on Sky Sports, as well as stadium announcements and branding.
The new Harrogate Spring Water bottles are made up of a diamond design that reflects the premium nature of the brand, as well as the quality of water inside each bottle.
The design will be implemented throughout the whole Harrogate Spring Water family, across both PET and glass ranges.
The bottle, inspired by the classic architecture of Harrogate, has been designed to be instantly recognisable with premium appeal.
The bottle’s diamonds disperse light to create a sparkling effect.
The bottle aims to create exceptional stand out on shelf or back of bar, attracting new and existing customers to buy across the range.
James Cain, Managing Director of Harrogate Water Brands, said:
“We’re thrilled to work with the ECB to become The Official Water of England Cricket.
“This sponsorship deal with one of the best cricket teams in the world is a major statement of intent from Harrogate Spring Water, and emphasises our commitment to maintaining our position as the No.1 premium British spring water.”
The brand’s partnership with the ECB and packaging refresh comes on the back of a progressive move that will quadruple Harrogate Water Brands’ current business output.
James Cain said: “Since 2002, we’ve achieved annual growth of over 30 per cent, and £10m in turnover.
“To capitalise on this we have invested £8m in a state-of-the-art bottling facility.
“This will significantly increase our capacity so we can cater for the growing demand. We’re thrilled with the new designs. They look beautiful, and will certainly provide the ‘wow factor’.”
