Neogen Europe, a Scotland-based subsidiary of Neogen Corp., said in a release that its Reveal 2.0 for PSP can detect PSP toxins at a level of 800 parts per billion, and produces results in 5 minutes.
The test works in the field and a laboratory. Harvesters and processors can use the kit to test mussels, scallops, oysters, clams and cockles.
“The addition of our test for PSP toxins means we now offer a complete range of tests for shellfish toxins, including tests for amnesic shellfish poisoning and diarrhetic shellfish poisoning toxins,” said Neogen Europe’s Steve Chambers.
