Philippines buys 85,000 tonnes of feed wheat in tender

A group of animal feed makers in the Philippines has made an initial purchase of about 85,000 tonnes of optional-origin feed wheat in a tender for up to 180,200 tonnes, European traders said on Wednesday. Price for around 41,000 tonnes for September 20 to October 10 shipment was $262 a tonne c&f and a further 44,000 tonnes for October 20 to November 10 shipment was purchased at $268 a tonne c&f, traders said.

Traders said it was unclear if further purchases will be made in the tender. The outcome of a tender for 133,900 tonnes of soymeal also issued by the group is still awaited.
