Battersea Power Station and Everyman Media Group are teaming up with international lager brand Heineken to create a unique experience.
‘The Power of Summer’ is a seven-week outdoor cinema and street food event, at the Battersea Pop-Up Park in front of the Power Station from July 10th to August 31st.
This will be the last summer the public will have access to the Pop-Up Park, before that area of the 42-acre redevelopment progresses.
Visitors will enter the site from Chelsea Bridge Road, with the cinema screen guiding the way.
The outdoor cinema, screened on a high definition, nine metre LED screen, will allow films to be enjoyed in the open air, during the day, with the aid of earphones.
The first two weeks of films are on sale now with favourites like Wayne’s World, The Wolf of Wall Street, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Pulp Fiction and Drive, as well as the 2014 FIFA World Cup Final on July 13th.
The cinema has a capacity of 250 seats, 76 of which will be premier tickets, including pre-film table service and bespoke pods, in a covered area, offering a more private experience for couples and small groups.
With various other seating options around the park, there will also be a licensed, partially-covered bar area with a capacity of 1,000 people.
The renowned Street Feast will be bringing some of the best food traders from across London, and vibrant music will keep the atmosphere alive for all the visitors.
Street Feast have a history of taking over unique urban spaces, from old car parks to derelict building yards, so is set up to inject life into the park space.
With a host of top street food traders including Le Bun, Spit & Roast, Popdogs, Mama’s Jerk and Anna Maes the choice on offer will be unrivalled.
The bar area will also include a Prosecco & Oyster Bar.
