Soyameal on the European meals and feeds market was offered in a tight range as players were seeking fresh clues on direction. "A lack of fresh market moving news caused prices on the European cash market to go either side from unchanged and that did not inspire any players," one broker said. South American soyameal was mostly offered between $2 a tonne up and $2 down from Wednesday, partly following last night's CBOT soyameal futures close. Bids were scarce and no deals were reported.
EU rapemeal was also offered narrowly mixed at between one euro per tonne up and two euros down, following the trend in soyameal and underpinned by stronger rapeseed futures. There was talk of some negotiations but dealers could not confirm if any deals were done.
