Core Tip: Satellite Logistics Group has expanded its distribution network with the launch of a new deconsolidation warehouse for brewers in Felixstowe, England.
Satellite Logistics Group, a US-based provider of supply-chain solutions to beverage firms, has expanded its distribution network with the launch of a new deconsolidation warehouse for brewers in Felixstowe, England.

Owned by Kingstown Shipping, the new distribution center will provide brewers across Europe with access to Satellite's Kegspediter keg management service, which will help to manage keg returns effectively.

Using the keg management service, the brewers will get kegs back in the production pipeline faster, by reducing the asset usage and keg loss.

Satellite Logistics Group International Supply Chain Services vice president Andreas Bornefeld said that the company has decided to establish a distribution center in the UK to increase the cycle time and frequency of keg shipments for brewers.

"We're excited to invest in this resource which will help brewers to optimize their asset usage and strengthen their supply chains," added Bornefeld.

The company already has two distribution centers in Antwerp, Belgium, and Munich, Germany.
