Aujan Coca-ColaCoca-Cola Beverages Company (ACCBC), which operates in the MENA region, has completed the previously announced acquisition of a majority stake in Lebanese distributor of Coca-Cola and Pampa products National Beverage Company (NBC).

As part of the deal announced in January 2014, ACCBC has acquired the stake from consumer products distributor Transmed that has a share in NBC, for an undisclosed amount.

Transmed claims that the acquisition is expected to leverage long term direct investment into Lebanon and into NBC, which is one of the major bottling companies in the market.

ACCBC CEO Nicolaas Nusmeier said, "ACCBC has seen consistent growth in virtually all of our markets over a long period, and we plan to replicate this performance with NBC by focusing on increasing its market share within Lebanon."

Aujan currently operates two manufacturing facilities in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, and Dubai, UAE. It manufactures brands including refreshments products and non-alcoholic malt beverage Barbican.

The company is a licensed manufacturer of Vimto in the Middle East.
