Trade in Europe's vegetable oil market was brisk in rapeseed oil and sunflower oil on Friday, with prices weakened by falling soybean and soyoil prices in Chicago, traders said. August/October delivery rapeseed oil traded at 645 euros a tonne fob ex-mill and November/January delivery at 653 euros a tonne, traders said.
No comparative trades were reported on Thursday. At the end of the day, November/January rapeoil was offered for sale down 1 euro at 652.00 euros a tonne fob ex-mill. Sunflower oil for January/March delivery traded at $875 and $877.50 a tonne ex-tank, and April/June changed hands at $887.50 and $885 a tonne ex-tank, with no comparative trades seen on Thursday.
October/December sunoil ended the day down $15 a tonne at $870.00 a tonne ex-tank. Crude palm oil for August delivery was quoted in Europe down $7.50 a tonne at $810 a tonne cif. Purchase interest was also seen for refined, bleached and deodorised (RBD) palm olein, with a range of trades taking place for delivery between September and January/March 2015, traders said. RBD palm olein for September delivery ended the day down $2.50 a tonne at $757.50 a tonne fob Malaysia.
